Long time no write!

In the whirlwind of consistently writing the blog, I had never thought that I would go this long without writing but here I am, almost a month after my last post.

My excuse is exams! I thought I could keep writing but all of that revision caught up on me and I went a few days without posting. I then realised that I was probably better off saving the time that it takes to write the blog as I was getting very tired from revising and needed to focus my energy on that more and more as I approached the exams.

So the exams...started off brilliantly, first two exams whizzed through. The third was tough but I expected it and felt positive that I had done enough. Today's one...well the less said about it the better, the topics that were examined hit me for six but I may have done enough to pass although I feel a less confident than the third!

Now they are over I have my social life back and can begin preparing properly for the half marathon in September I have a few thank you's...

First of all to God, these exams were very hard and it is so much easier when you have God because when you doubt your ability, He reminds you that He made you. When you doubt whether it is possible, He reminds you that anything is possible. When you run out of energy and feel you cannot take no more, He gives you strength and asks you to lean on Him.

I have to admit I have been feeling pretty upset about the exam today, I worked quite hard for it and really wanted to do well and it didn't go to plan. But I know that God will comfort me (He has already begun this work to be honest!) and that any failures will only become part of His Greater Plan.

Secondly, to all of my friends and family and Church family who have prayed for me and encouraged me these last few weeks. It is much appreciated and you just don't know how much of an impact God has made. Thank you so much :)

Lastly, to a special friend of mine who knows who she is who has been extra supportive during this period, God did enough to get me through this but He used you especially and I am glad I didn't have to go through it without your support. Thank you amigo-enredado!

I guess the message of this post is to never give up, to give your best because God is right with you and He will make great things happen and will get you through it...pass or fail :)

John 7:37-38
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

David Wilkerson

Yesterday the legendary Christian pastor David Wilkerson passed away after a car crash at the age of 79. He is most famously remembered for leading gangster Nicky Cruz to Christ and telling him, when Cruz threatened to kill him before his conversion, that if he cut his body into pieces that every piece would cry out that Jesus loves him and always will.

On the day he died he posted on his blog and I wanted to share all of his post as I think it is wonderful and such a great thing to go out of life on earth saying..

"To believe when all means fail is exceedingly pleasing to God and is most acceptable. Jesus said to Thomas, “You have believed because you have seen, but blessed are those that do believe and have not seen” (John 20:29).
Blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an answer to prayer—who trust beyond hope when all means have failed.
Someone has come to the place of hopelessness—the end of hope—the end of all means. A loved one is facing death and doctors give no hope. Death seems inevitable. Hope is gone. The miracle prayed for is not happening.
That is when Satan’s hordes come to attack your mind with fear, anger, overwhelming questions: “Where is your God now? You prayed until you had no tears left. You fasted. You stood on promises. You trusted.”
Blasphemous thoughts will be injected into your mind: “Prayer failed. Faith failed. Don’t quit on God—just do not trust him anymore. It doesn’t pay!”
Even questioning God’s existence will be injected into your mind. These have been the devices of Satan for centuries. Some of the godliest men and women who ever lived were under such demonic attacks.
To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights—and in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, “I am with you. I cannot tell you why right now, but one day it will all make sense. You will see it was all part of my plan. It was no accident. It was no failure on your part. Hold fast. Let me embrace you in your hour of pain.”
Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means fail—his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world."

Wilkerson is now enjoying his reward in perfect eternity with the Lord :) Let us be inspired by his inspirational faith acted out in his life and rejoice that he was saved :)
